History of the Super Bowl
The Super Bowl, first played in 1967, is the championship game of the National Football League (NFL) and the American Football League (AFL). The idea for the Super Bowl came when the NFL and AFL agreed to merge, and the Super Bowl was conceived as a way to crown the best team in both leagues. The first game, known as the "AFL-NFL World Championship Game," was held at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum and featured the Green Bay Packers defeating the Kansas City Chiefs. Since then, the Super Bowl has grown into a massive cultural event, drawing millions of viewers around the world for not just the game, but the amazing halftime shows and highly anticipated special commercials. It’s an annual celebration of sport, entertainment, and American culture that brings fans together, whether they’re die-hard football lovers or just in it for the snacks and fun.

Notes:
I first published this recipe in 2015 when I ate cheese. This is an updated post ten years later with a vegan cheese option. It's still a winner and perfect Super Bowl appetizer.
*If you do not want to use plant-based cheeses, try just adding some cheesy tasting nutritional yeast.
I will not be watching the Super Bowl, but I may well dig into a bowl as I make this appetizing dish!
