Asian Soup in 10 Minutes (Recipe Link)
I am quite a fan of Asian food. Are you? It works very well with a vegan diet. For those looking to increase the amount of low fat plant-based foods to their diet, here are 10 of my favorite delicious and easy ideas.
Mongolian Mushroom Tofu (Recipe Link) was a recipe that I learned to make during the pandemic!! Without going to restaurants, I really missed Asian cooking. So I researched recipes and started cooking my own.
Asian Peanut Coleslaw(Recipe Link). This is a nice variation to a traditional coleslaw. Lots of flavor and color in this crowd pleaser.
This recipe may be simple, but it really delivers on flavor. Makes a nice green vegetable side dish with any meal.
Vegan Pad Thai (Recipe Link)-
Love this all plant-based version. It has no eggs or fish sauce but all the flavor of a more traditional Pad Thai.
Chou Mein has always been one of my favorites since I was young. It is simple and soothing yet healthy and nutrient rich. Love the sauce!!
Miso Soup (Recipe Link). Miso soup is popular in Asian restaurants. Who knew how easy it was to make at home!
Lemon Broccoli and Crispy Tofu (Recipe Link)
Tofu is high in protein and makes a wonderful swap for animal protein on a plant-based diet. This crispy tofu is made in the oven and is delicious.
Who wants to take the time to learn to roll sushi whe all the ingredients can be eaten in a bowl. Delicious - add tofu for extra protein if desired.
Spring rolls take a little time to learn to roll but are worth the effort. They are a real treat and packed with fresh vegetables! How delicious tasting with this simple homemade peanut sauce.
My Notes:
1. These plant-based recipes are gluten-free and oil-free
Everything looks delicious and we eat a lot of Asian food.
