The ship, Celebrity Apex, according to Celebrity is "the second ship in our revolutionary Edge® Series, is a Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star Rated resort at sea."
It truly is a beautiful ship with lovely crystal chandeliers, fancy dining facilities, lovely spa areas, and incredible lounges. It felt elegant, was extremely clean and the service was excellent. The food was much better than other Celebrity ships we have traveled on.
I was delighted that the menus in every dining area were labeled with identifications for allergies such as gluten-free, dairy, nuts, etc. It made life much easier (and safer) for me.
There were many options at the buffet. They had one section for vegans with two gluten free entrees. In addition there was an Asian section on the buffet with choices of both Indian and Chinese cuisine, both which were often vegan and GF.
Of course there were plenty of salads, meat, fishes, and lots of other choices that I didn't eat.
Gluten-free bread, GF muffins, and Gf rolls were readily available at every meal. I ate gluten-free toast with avocado, capers, tomatoes, and sliced cucumber for breakfast.
We cruised with three other couples that have been good friends for years. It was a good way to get together and have and stress-free vacation. We went out to port to the beaches during the day, came back early and played mah Jong or Canasta (there were four couples - two tables) and then showered for dinner and a show.
All and all we had a great time being with friends, enjoying the islands, the beautiful luxurious cruise ship, and just relaxing.
It was a second reunion and we are already talking about a 3rd!
Well Judee that all sounds just perfectly charming and wow what wonderful memories! Hope you enjoy a relaxing holiday season throughout and that everyone is well! xoxo
