Your blog is ablaze with autumn! The homemade apple pie filling in a baked acorn squash looks delicious, just like desert. I imagine it's a big hit. The pic of the veggies with the basket is beyond beautiful, and the ones of the cored squash with the heart cutting board and the mums are so warm and homey.
ReplyDeleteYou're half right when you say it's getting a little cooler (re your comment). But then some days, like today, it's hot and sunny. Still, I'm sure it'll all even out and we'll be layering up before we know it. 🍁
Yes, I'm excited about the change of season and enjoying the new fall recipes
DeleteBrussels sprouts feature a lot in our home when seasonal. PS, those flowers are amazing.

ReplyDeleteHi Beth, Like you I could have soup everyday but in the fall and winter, I especially look for it to warm me up.
DeleteYou photos scream welcome to Autumn - love it. The soups look so good, perfect for a chilly weather meal, althoough I eat soup year round whatever the temps.
ReplyDeleteSince we will be leaving for Florida soon, I have to get all my fall in right away.
DeleteButternut squash is good but I’ve become hooked on delicata squash because you can roast it with the skin on and it’s 100% edible. Such easy prep, but still an entirely fresh food. Several of your recipes would work with it.

I did not know that you could eat the skin. I'll have to give it a try! thanks Mae
DeleteSomehow we haven't made butternut squash soup at all this winter. Normally we have it quite regularly.
