This month I have a few new items and ideas for you!
After dropping and breaking the glass jar (for the 2nd time) of my wonderful Oster blender, I decided to invest in a NutriBullet Rx that comes with a BPA-free plastic container. I've had it a week and so far so good especially for morning smoothies.
New colorful melamine plates for outdoor entertaining |
I love the design and this melamine plate |
I frequently make my (link to recipe) vegan mock chopped liver recipe, which calls for a cup of walnuts, so I purchased a large bag of walnuts at Costco.
I also purchased a large container of raw cashews to use in my spicy orange sauce recipe. (recipe link).
Cute little (ceramic) bowls for nuts, olives, trail mix etc. |
Slightly spicy, low in calories and fat, I used a 1/3 cup to stuff a baked potato and it was delicious. That's what doing in my kitchen in Florida for the month of May. |
I bought an expensive blender a couple of years ago, thought I could have use it to make nut butter, but I would have woken up the whole neighbourhood if I used it. Dang...expensive gadget for nothing and now it sits in the kitchen collecting the dust. That nutribullet would be more practical for me. Love your plates and sauce dishes. Really lovely!
ReplyDeleteLove this post of bits and pieces. Love those dishes. I am to the point I am not buying any new dishes other than to replace broken essentials. You inspire me however.
ReplyDeleteI love your 2 new melamine plates - so pretty!
ReplyDeletehi judee
ReplyDeletethanks for joining us for IMK. Love the plates and bowls. so pretty. i've often wondered about a nutribullet. I do have a processor and a blender but the blender surprisingly is not good for smoothies! Black bean dip sounds healthy! cheers sherry
my comment may not have gone thru?! Anyways just saying thanks for joining in. Love your plates and bowls ! cheers Sherry
ReplyDeleteI love the plates and little bowls. Where did you purchase them?
ReplyDeleteThose plates are so pretty.
ReplyDeleteYour new plates and little bowls are appealing: I like the shapes, which are not just round. Innovative designs on melamine are really great.

I'm so glad that your new NutriBullet could rescue you from that pesky Oster. (I actually still have an Oster, but the husband deals with it, not me :). I'm a huge fan of bold patterned melamine plates and love yours! My sister and I used to think it was funny when our mom referred to them "Melmac". We were like, they're melamine; Melmac was Alf's home planet! Then we found out that Melmac was a brand (or maybe kind?) of melamine. We definitely owed her an apology! Finally, I heart your retro red vase full of beautiful blooms. :)
ReplyDeleteI love my magic bullet for daily use. Its the best.
ReplyDeleteOh boy; I have an ancient Bosch blender and it still works quite well. Hope it will continue to do it's great work!:-) Love, love the plates!
ReplyDeleteThose plates are pretty! Never used a NutriBullet, but everyone I know who has one really like it. Next time I break my blender jar (not if, when) I'll get one.
ReplyDeleteLove the plates and bowls! Colorful.
ReplyDeleteI want to try the NutriBullet which I borrowed from the kids, but I am afraid of ruining it in some way! Love the small ceramic bowls :)
ReplyDeleteI have a NutriBullet but am embarrassed to say I haven't used it, I am afraid that the contents will spill all over the counter since it's upside down. I'd love to hear more about your experience with it. I am impressed by the orderliness of your cupboard. Maybe if I ever have a free day...
ReplyDeleteI have one of those normal blenders that's quite a bit bigger, tried out nutri bullets at friends houses and thought they were a good idea but just couldn't bear the thought of more kitchen gadgets!
ReplyDeleteLove your new plates! Very colourful!
