DeleteYou have found some fascinating details! Somehow they reminds me of the British tv-serie The Day of the Triffids from 1981 where the lethal plants are chasing people :-D

DeleteWhen you go in so close, I am amazed at the detail and the inner knowledge of the fern...it knows how to be, right from the start, so perfect and intricate.

DeleteWe used to have a cat like that. Her name was Tibet. Such a gorgeous breed ! Love the ferns too. It reminds me of growing up in Alaska!

DeleteI'm a huge fern lover. Our woods are full of several kinds and there are even some in our yard (which Mr. GFE knows not to mow) but we don't have any fiddlehead ferns. I've always loved them and your photos are amazing, Judee! Do you ever eat them? I know you can.
