You captured such incredible detail on the ferns
ReplyDeleteI find ferns so interesting. There are so many different kinds
DeleteJudee,
ReplyDeleteFabulous macro shots. I love how I can see such details in your photographs, especially the 3rd picture from the bottom of the fern curled tightly. WOW, great job! Have a happy WW, my friend!

I am amazed at the height and beauty of some ferns.
DeleteYou have found some fascinating details! Somehow they reminds me of the British tv-serie The Day of the Triffids from 1981 where the lethal plants are chasing people :-D
ReplyDeleteThey are big - some are almost as tall as me...
DeleteWhen you go in so close, I am amazed at the detail and the inner knowledge of the fern...it knows how to be, right from the start, so perfect and intricate.
ReplyDeleteI find ferns very interesting.. They are really unusual looking
DeleteGreat photos of the ferns. Must look out for some when they grow again next spring
ReplyDeleteYes, I saw them in Chile on my last trip. I had never seen them so big before
DeleteBrilliant captures they look so weird close up and Aww! @ Aria :-)

DeleteWe used to have a cat like that. Her name was Tibet. Such a gorgeous breed ! Love the ferns too. It reminds me of growing up in Alaska!
ReplyDeleteShe is a beautiful cat. I love her eye color.
DeleteWonderful and great photos!
ReplyDeleteGlad you enjoyed them Birgitta
DeleteThose are beautiful! Someone told me certain ferns are edible, i wonder if it's any of these. That's a very pretty cat, too.
ReplyDeleteWow! I never heard that they are edible.. I guess it makes sense that there are some varieties that can be eaten
DeleteGreat macro shots!

DeleteI'm a huge fern lover. Our woods are full of several kinds and there are even some in our yard (which Mr. GFE knows not to mow) but we don't have any fiddlehead ferns. I've always loved them and your photos are amazing, Judee! Do you ever eat them? I know you can.
ReplyDeleteShirley
I've heard you can eat them but I never have-
DeleteThese are some awesome images! I try to get fern furl shots each spring, as we have an abundance here in New Zealand :)
