This bird flew onto the ledge of the pool to take a drink of water. I was able to get a quick shot because he didn't seem afraid and kind of just stood there even as I got closer and closer.
Does anyone know what kind of bird this is?
I haven't the faintest idea!!

Have a nudetastic week :-)
I wish someone would stop by and identify that interesting bird!!
DeleteBeautiful shots. I haven't been to Haulover Beach in years. I used to live in Dade Co a couple of decades ago. My favorite part of the beach was in Bal Harbour. I parked before sunset in the bank parking lot (it was closed) and walked between hotels to reach the beach. I loved it at sunset. No one was there.
ReplyDeleteThe area has changed a lot over the past ten years. It is now crowded with lots of high rises and lots of traffic
DeleteBeautiful shots! Especially like all the pictures of birds. Visiting from Wordless Wednesday.
ReplyDeleteKym,
DeleteI also enjoy the photos of birds. Thanks for visiting
I´m not sure but I think your bird might be a Juvenile Black-crowned Night Heron.
ReplyDelete:) I made a search for "heron in Florida" and an image of this came up.
wow .. I will check it out. thanks so much
ReplyDeleteI wonder, too, what sort of bird that is. Perhaps he's a juvenile and not yet is he adult - and more recognizable - plumage.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing at https://image-in-ing.blogspot.com/2017/08/oooh-baby.html
Someone thought it was a juvenile black crowned heron??
ReplyDeleteNeat looking bird! And I guess the birds on the beach were nude.
ReplyDeleteI took the beach photos very early in the am when it was just me and the birds!
