Celebrating Chanukah with my younger son, my daughter-in-law and
my grandkids during their visit to Florida in my condo in Florida.
They stayed the first 3 days of their visit at the JW Marriot Miami Turnbury in Aventura Florida where they have the most amazing waterpark on the premises called Tidal Cove ! The kids love it and love staying at that hotel!!
After the 3 days at the JW Marriot and enjoying the amazing water park called the Tidal Cove, they came to stay with us in our condo for 3 more days.
We slept at a friend's condo since I only have a one bedroom condo. The grandkids slept on the Murphy bed in the living room and the my son and wife slept in our bedroom.

We did have some clouds and drizzle one of the days, so we headed off to Top Golf, Miami which is about 25 minutes away from where we live and so much fun.
It's a HUGE stadium that is covered. You rent a section by the hour to hit golf shots out into a huge field. There is a TV that monitors each shot and you can see how you fared. There are many games to choose from and you get points for how well you played.
They also have a server who takes drink and food orders. The food is pretty good. I ordered a vegetarian gluten free flatbread that was one of the best I ever had!! Loved it. They bring it right to the golf area.
Have you ever gone to Top Golf? (It's a franchise located in many places throughout the states)
I am located across the street from the beach and have a beautiful ocean view. On the other side of my building is the Intra Coastal and I also have a beautiful view of the Intra coastal.
They were only in Florida 6 days total including that day they came and left, so it was not that many days. We enjoyed every minute with them and were so happy they came. We made wonderful memories!
Wow beach days in December...how wonderful! Your apartment looks really nice, Judee. Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteWe have the beach here all winter. Perhaps a few days in Jan and Feb are too cold.

ReplyDeleteYes we did ..

ReplyDeleteIt was.. we enjoyed every minute
DeleteI am glad that you enjoyed Hanukkah with your family. I can’t resist commenting that the practice of guys wearing hats in the house and at the table drives me mildly crazy. When did this habit take hold?
ReplyDeleteMy husband covered his head with a hat to light the Chanukah candles instead of a overing his head with a yarmulke.
DeleteNow that makes sense!
DeleteSeeing your photo's made me miss living in Florida a bit. I'm so glad you enjoyed time with your family during the holiday!! That flatbread looks amazing. Happy New Year!!

ReplyDeleteYou have such a lovely family. I'm glad their stay in Florida was a pleasant one. The Tidal Cove sounds fun for the kids, and they look like they are having fun finding all the fish and dolphins in the water. That flatbread looks really good. I hope the new year brings you much goodness. : )
